Gino Chouinard reveals his next project
The renowned Quebec adventurer will cross the country by electric car
Departure scheduled for next June
Quebec adventurer Gino Chouinard has just unveiled his next project: to cross Canada by electric car next June. The man who has already traveled the world by bike, on foot, by kayak and by dogsled wants to raise awareness about the importance of reducing our carbon footprint.
The adventurer will travel more than 9,000 kilometres in 45 days. He will pass through seven provinces and two territories, and will stop in about 30 communities along the way.
Mr. Chouinard hopes that his project will help to demystify electric vehicles and encourage people to adopt this mode of transportation.
"I want to show people that it is possible to travel long distances in an electric car," said Mr. Chouinard. "It is a clean, efficient and economical way to travel."
The adventurer has already begun training for his journey. He is currently following a physical training program and is learning about electric vehicles.
"I am very excited about this project," said Mr. Chouinard. "I think it is an important message to send."
