Suspect Arrested After Leading Officers on High-Speed Pursuit
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A car chase on a busy Los Angeles freeway ended in a crash on Tuesday afternoon, leaving the suspect in custody and multiple vehicles damaged.
The pursuit began when the California Highway Patrol attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver failed to yield. The suspect led officers on a high-speed chase down the 110 Freeway, weaving in and out of traffic and reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.
During the chase, the suspect's vehicle collided with several other cars, causing property damage but no major injuries. Officers were able to use a PIT maneuver to stop the suspect's vehicle, which then crashed into a concrete barrier.
The suspect, who has not yet been identified, was arrested and taken into custody. He is facing multiple charges, including felony evading and reckless driving. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
