Antwerp, Belgium to Host Elite Gymnasts from Around the Globe
From September 30th to October 8th, the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium will play host to the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, where the world's top gymnasts will compete for gold in a variety of events.
The championships will serve as a qualifier for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, and many of the athletes competing will be looking to secure their spot on their country's Olympic team.
Among the gymnasts to watch this year is Simone Biles, the 26-year-old American who is already one of the most decorated gymnasts of all time. Biles has won 20 world championships gold medals, and she is looking to add to her medal count in Antwerp.
Other gymnasts to watch include Sunisa Lee, the reigning Olympic all-around champion, and Jade Carey, the reigning world all-around champion. Both Lee and Carey are expected to be strong contenders for the all-around title in Antwerp.
