Motorcycle Front Fork Upgrades
What Does a Motorcycle Fork Do?
A motorcycle fork is a suspension system that connects the front wheel to the frame of the motorcycle. It allows the wheel to move up and down, absorbing bumps and providing a smoother ride.
Types of Motorcycle Forks
There are two main types of motorcycle forks:
- Conventional forks: These are the most common type of fork, and they consist of two stanchions that are connected to the frame of the motorcycle. The stanchions are held in place by a fork bridge, and they contain the springs and damping rods that control the suspension.
- Upside-down forks: These forks are mounted upside-down, with the stanchions attached to the bottom of the motorcycle frame and the fork bridge attached to the top. This design allows for a wider range of adjustment, and it can also reduce unsprung weight.
